Villa Renovation in Las Ramblas Golf, Orihuela Costa

Introduction

This detached villa sits within one of the most prestigious golf courses in Orihuela Costa, Spain. Originally the family home of the current owner’s parents, it carries strong sentimental value and a deep personal history.

Rather than replace its character, the project focused on preserving what made the home meaningful, while gently transforming it into a refined family holiday retreat designed for long-term enjoyment.

Design Approach

The renovation respects the original structure and works carefully within its existing layout. Instead of a complete reinvention, the design focuses on refinement—improving light, flow, and atmosphere while maintaining the villa’s core identity.

The result is a quieter, more considered version of the home, where contemporary elements sit comfortably alongside its original architecture.

Preserving Heritage

Key architectural features, including the original flooring, were retained as part of the home’s story. These elements provide continuity and help anchor the updated design.

Rather than concealing its history, the renovation allows it to remain visible, giving the villa a sense of depth and authenticity.

Interior Updates

Inside, the spaces were updated to feel lighter, more open, and more comfortable for modern family life. A restrained material palette and subtle detailing bring clarity without overpowering the original structure.

The aim was not transformation for its own sake, but a careful refinement of what already existed.
